Conference Description
Medtech New Ventures, hosted by the North Texas Enterprise Center for Medical Technology (NTEC), is an annual, regional, early stage investment conference and company showcase focused on the rapidly growing medical technology sector. This sector, with a CAGR of nearly 10% over the last 25 years, includes medical instruments and devices, diagnostic equipment, medical therapeutic devices, medical monitoring equipment, and other health related products. The program includes an industry panel discussion, venture capital panel discussion and a showcase of six emerging medical technology companies. The purpose of the conference is to connect quality emerging medtech companies seeking capital with investors that focus on their industry sector. In addition to investment, the conference strives to deliver useful, timely and relevant educational content to medtech entrepreneurs and those that service the medtech industry. Finally, Medtech NVC provides a “trade show” venue for vendors and service providers seeking to exhibit their capabilities at the conference. Our last conference drew nearly 230 attendees and we expect more this year due to an expanded program and additional networking opportunities.

Opportunity To Showcase Your Medtech Company
MedTech New Ventures Conference is the premier early stage medical technology company showcase in the South Central U.S. If selected, your company will be one of the six featured presenting companies at the conference. You will have 15 minutes to present your company and business opportunity to the hundreds of investors and MedTech industry participants in attendance. Further, you will have the opportunity to meet the angel and venture capital panel presenters at the VIP reception the night before the event. At your option, you may also establish a “break-out” room at the event site to manage private investor meetings. These rooms will be provided at a deep discount to presenting companies. Early stage medical device and healthcare technology companies in the product and service sectors are invited to submit an application to present. The guidelines can be downloaded here: Presenting Company Application Guidelines.
Atending Inverstors & Support Organizations
A primary goal of Medtech NVC is connecting investors and entreprenreurs. Equity funding for seed and early stage companies has decreased dramatically over the last 5 years. Although the global economy and specfically, the US recession, has negatively impacted investors, high quality start ups continue to attract capital. The following medtech investors are expected to speak or attend Medtech NVC: Sante Ventures, PTV Sciences, Sevin Rosen Funds, Prolog Ventures, Rivervest Ventures, H.I.G. BioVentures, Chrysalis Ventures, Scientific Healthcare Ventures, Hunt BioVentures, HP Growth Partners, Interwest Partners, Texas Emerging Technology Fund, the North Texas Angel Network, Eyes of Texas Partners, Lone Star Angels, Central Texas Angels and Texas Womens Ventures Fund. Additinally, we expect numerous individual angel investors and providers of alternative sources of financing for early stage opportunities to be in attendance.
Medtech NVC is being supported by the following industry organizations: BioDFW, N. TX RCIC and the Texas Emerging Technology Fund, MDMA, the Medical Device Action Alliance, the Medical Device Working Group, the Metroplex Technology Business Council, the MIT Enterprise Forum-Dallas Chapter, the IEEE Medical Device Group, the AEA – Dallas Chapter, the Entrepreneurs Foundation of N.
