Dale Fuller
MD -
Former American College of Surgeons
After earning degrees in
Pharmacy and Medicine from the University of Iowa, and completing a
residency at The University of Iowa Hospitals, and service as a
medical officer in the US Air Force, Dr. and Mrs. Fuller (Jean) and
their three children, Susan, Catherine, and David, left Iowa City,
and came to Dallas in 1968. Dr. Fuller joined the medical staff at
St. Paul Medical Center, where he served as Medical Director of the
St. Paul Center for Radiation Oncology from 1970 through 1990. Dr.
Fuller joined Texas Oncology, P.A. in 1992, becoming the first
Medical Director for Radiation Oncology in this state-wide group,
now including over 250 specialists in Medical Oncology, Radiation
Oncology, Gynecologic Oncology, and Pediatric Oncology in cancer
centers in many cities across Texas.
Dr. Fuller served his
profession in numerous capacities in medical organizations at
local, state and national levels. After retiring from full-time
practice in 1999, Dr. Fuller served as a field surveyor for the
Commission on Cancer of the American College of Surgeons from
2000-2006. In that role he surveyed 87 different hospital cancer
programs from coast to coast. His goal was always to leave those
programs better than he found them, and in most instances he was
successful. Dr. Fuller has served his community in a number of
roles, none more rewarding terms of personal satisfaction than his
long term association with Dallas' Ronald McDonald House, from its
founding in the late 1970's through the present date.
Dr. and Mrs. Fuller
continue to be fortunate in having all three of their children and
their six grandchildren all living nearby, in Dallas and Argyle,
TX.
