Ed Maier

Ed is an executive coach and business adviser. He has worked with executives and managers in numerous organizations-from startup businesses to global enterprises. Ed also speaks and writes on a variety of leadership topics. Prior to his career as a coach, Ed was a partner with Arthur Andersen for over twenty years. He provided audit, accounting and business advice to hundreds of clients, boards of directors and audit committees. Originally from Chicago, Ed has a bachelor's degree in accounting from DePaul University.

Ed has served on numerous not-for-profit boards, e.g., Steppenwolf Theatre (Chicago); Civic Theatre of Central Florida (Orlando); Prevent Blindness (Dallas). He chairs the Governance and Ethics Committee for a global coaching organization and is an advisor to BroadPeak Collaborative (Chicago-a firm that assists emerging and middle market companies raise capital and strengthen operations) and Get R.E.A.L. (Dallas-a firm that helps athletes plan and manage life beyond professional sports). He is a member of the Board of Directors of Abiant (a biotechnology company that uses advanced neuroimaging to accelerate drug development and the diagnosis of disease).
