Gregg Cohen, PhD

Dr. Gregg Cohen is Director, Medical Technology at Abrio Healthcare Solutions, Inc., where he and his team analyze a facility's installed base of information technology, including the data communications network and interfaces to other information systems, to develop with healthcare providers a rational, phased plan for technology implementation.
 
Gregg began his professional life as a physical biochemist researching anatomic and metabolic anomalies in the brains of schizophrenics. Gregg recalls, "We had to manage a huge amount of data, in the form of brain scans - MR, PET, X-rays, and clinical symptomatology. This was long before PACS existed, as we know it today; I found myself immersed in technology issues. My professional focus gradually shifted from biochemistry to imaging and image management."

Co-author of more than 50 scientific articles, papers and abstracts, Gregg's current research interests include medical image processing and clinical informatics.
