Jim Minyard

Jim Minyard has a long
history of success in developing and managing sales and marketing
channels in the high-tech industry as well as founding or
co-founding a number of start-up companies which moved from
inception through successful IPO's or sale.
Mr. Minyard holds an
engineering degree (BSME) from Texas A&M University with
postgraduate studies in math & physics and began his career as
a Distribution Marketing Manager for Texas Instruments.
Following a move to
California he served as VP Marketing for a large regional TI
distributor and later acquired and became president of a leading
Southern California Manufacturers Rep company. During this time he
was President of the Electronics Representatives Association
(SoCal) and Chairman of WESCON, a large electronics trade show
organization.
Mr. Minyard also founded
CompuScan, a system integrator for barcode data collection systems.
He later served as president of M.G. Electronics that was later
merged with Haskel Electronics and the combined entity launched a
successful IPO.
Another start-up was RiverOne
which was a B2B e-commerce exchange where the company raised $50
million of VC funding, built and staffed the company and effected a
merger with i2 Technologies.
Currently Mr. Minyard serves
as Director of the Arts of Collin County as appointed by the Frisco
City Council to build a multi-city performing arts center. His
wife, Sue de Mille Minyard, is active in philanthropy with much of
her efforts directed to Texas Health Resources Presbyterian in
Plano where she built the Women's Diagnostic Center as well as the
Pediatric Center in addition and other projects.
