Dr. Jimmy Laferney, a board certified Anesthesiologist and partner in Pinnacle Anesthesia consultants, has been in full-time practice in Collin County and North Dallas since 1983.  He served as President of Anesthesia Management, Inc., prior to its merger with Pinnacle Anesthesia.  He has been a consultant in operating room design, development, and implementation in several North Texas hospitals, and served as chairman of the Physicians Steering Committee in the development of Baylor Medical Center at Frisco (BMCF).

Dr. Laferney currently serves as Vice-President for Medical Staff Affairs at Baylor Medical Center at Frisco (BMCF) and is a founding member of its Board of Managers.  During the development of BMCF, he developed a passion for utilizing technology to improve healthcare quality and outcomes at lower consumer costs.  As a result of this, Dr. Laferney founded Veroscan, Inc. a medical device company specializing in RFID applications and metal detection technology in the operating room environment.  Veroscan holds patents in RFID reader technology and metal detection, with 8 more patents pending.
