Clinical and Regulatory Affairs for Organ Transport Systems
Ms. Drake is highly experienced in the medical devices clinical
and regulatory arena and brings 15 years of experience in both
hospital based clinical experience and sponsor company research
experience. Ms. Drake has served as a hospital based staff
physiologist, field clinical engineer/specialist, national trainer,
clinical research associate and project manager for a variety of
medical device companies. She has spent her career working in
cardiology, electrophysiology, neurosurgery, cardiovascular surgery
and organ transplantation and artificial devices as a physiologist
and physicians assistant most notably spending 5 years as a member
of the Cleveland Clinic Foundation Heart and Lung transplant and
LVAD team. Ms. Drake's career has provided her the opportunity to
work throughout Europe as well as South America and Asia obtaining
CE Marking and FDA approval for a variety of medical devices with
respected organizations including CryoCath, J&J and St. Jude
Medical. Ms. Drake is an Association of Clinical Research
Associates certified CRA, earned her M.A. in Cardiovascular
Physiology from Central Michigan University, her B.S. in Clinical
Psychology with minors in Economics and Biomechanical Engineering
from Michigan State University and trained for her P.A. in
Cleveland, Ohio. Ms Drake spent nearly 2 years as Director of
Clinical and Regulatory Affairs for the NTec company Organ
Transport Systems and is currently Manager of Regulatory Affairs
for the Irving, Texas based design engineering and manufacturing
firm Avail Medical - A Flextronics Company.
