Michael J. Harbut has 14
years of successful experience in high-visibility,
revenue-generating roles where securing financial commitments and
buy-in from CEOs, CFOs, and Portfolio Mangers is critical to
driving growth. His innovative, problem-solving style focuses on
value creation and niche product positioning to accelerate sales
and grow revenues.
An expert in commercializing
advisory, information, and research services, he has worked
directly with dozens of CEOs to identify and develop their firms'
capabilities. As a result, he has served over 200 institutional
clients since 1997 at both boutique and Fortune 500 businesses
including Lehman Brothers, Citigroup, and Donaldson, Lufkin and
Jenrette.
Building a business out of
nothing is his forte. At four previous employers, he constructed
product portfolios, trained sales teams, generated revenues from
scratch, and defined value propositions that directly impacted
brand equity. Several of these companies were subsequently
acquired.
Since September, 2010,
Michael has been working as a consultant for research, life
science, and venture capital businesses, advising their CEOs on
brand and capital markets strategies.
He is a graduate of Boston
University and is presently attending the Executive MBA program at
the University of Texas, Dallas.
