Mchael Lang is President of
Galt Medial Inc. a Dallas area firm providing disposable medical
devices to the interventional radiology, interventional cardiology
and vascular access markets. As president Mr. Lang oversees the
company's product development, manufacturing, marketing and sales
activities.
Mr. Lang is a health care
product entrepreneur who has launched multiple new businesses. He
previously held product development, business development, and
general management roles at Johnson and Johnson and at several
medical device and biotechnology start up firms. At Johnson and
Johnson he played a key role in the initiation of Ethicon
Endosurgery and pioneered the development of "minimally invasive
surgery" technologies and products. He led the startup of several
startup medical device firms developing novel biomaterials and
specialty medical devices. Prior to Galt he led the medical device
practice at BioEnterprise. BioEnterprise is a business formation,
recruitment, and acceleration initiative designed to grow health
care companies and commercialize bioscience technologies in
Cleveland OH.
Mr. Lang brings significant
start-up experience including; technology development, product
definition, business strategy, management of entrepreneurial
ventures, FDA regulations, intellectual property management,
technology licensing and venture funding. He holds patents for
various specialty medical devices.
He holds BS Engineering from
Northern Arizona University and MBA from Arizona State
University.
