An experienced senior executive, Mike's work history has spanned
over 25 years in the technology arena including working for a
Blue Chip company (IBM), a Rapid Growth company (i2 Technologies),
and an entrepreneurial startup company that executed a successful
IPO (Healtheon - founded by Jim Clark and merged with WebMD
following the IPO). His experiences have
included acquiring companies, acquiring assets, investing
in companies, establishing startup ventures, and launching
new businesses domestically and internationally.
Short & Associates provides advisory consulting services
with companies regarding establishing sales channels & alliance
strategies and relationships, new business launches, go-to-market
strategies, executing acquisitions and joint ventures, and raising
private equity capital.
With over 14 years focusing on the health industry, Mike has
proven innovative, entrepreneurial thinking and execution abilities
in identifying and launching new business opportunities. He
is currently an active participant with the Health and Technology
Task Force at The Health Industry Council of DFW, a prior reserve
board member of Association for Electronic Health Care Transactions
(AFEHCT), and a prior participamt in national standards setting
organizations including the Accredited Standards Committee (ASC)
X12 organization and the Technical Advisory Group of the Workgroup
for EDI (WEDI).
