Richard Treharne joined the executive management team as Vice President of Orthopaedic Research in September 2006.  Since November of 1990, Dr. Treharne has served in several capacities, with his last position as Vice President of Regulatory Affairs at Medtronic, Inc., Spinal and Biologics Business based in Memphis, TN.  Prior to Medtronic, Dr. Treharne spent over fourteen years with Smith & Nephew PLC.  Rick Treharne received a PhD in Metallurgy and Materials Science and a Master of Science in Engineering from the University of Pennsylvania and a Master in Business Administration from the University of Memphis.  He has authored over 45 publications, granted 6 US Patents and has obtained Food and Drug Administration (FDA) clearance for over 300 medical device submissions.
