Sheila Beuerlein brings over
sixteen years of experience in the fields of marketing, engineering
and business consulting.
Ms. Beuerlein served as
Director of Marketing for a Fortune-100 medical products company.
Her responsibilities included P&L management, new product
launches, strategic and image marketing, advertising, medical
education, thought leader cultivation and public relations. Her
brand management experience across many product lines has provided
her in-depth exposure to marketing in all phases of the product
life cycle.
In addition, Ms. Beuerlein
brings significant experience with entrepreneurial ventures. She
was the co-founder of a business that developed and launched a
consumer magazine focusing on the areas of plastic surgery,
dermatology and cosmetic dentistry. She has also served as a
consultant in marketing and developing business plans for
early-stage medical products companies.
Continuing her work with
entrepreneurial companies, she currently is on the Advisory Board
of Texas Women Ventures Fund. The fund invests in women-owned
companies in the Southwest, which have an established track record
of $7 to $70 million in revenues.
Ms. Beuerlein is a member of
the Foundation Board of Trustees at Children's Medical Center;
co-founder of the Children's Trust, a 500-member philanthropic
group dedicated to funding critical needs areas at Children's
Medical Center; past chair of The Children's Council; and a member
of the Advisory Board at the Museum of Nature and Science in
Dallas.
Ms. Beuerlein has an MBA from
the University of Texas at Austin and a Bachelor of Science degree
in aerospace engineering from Texas A&M University. She began
her career as a senior engineer at General Dynamics (now
Lockheed-Martin). There she was an aerodynamicist on several
classified research programs for the design of advanced military
aircraft.
