*Krista Oakes passed away on December 10th, 2010. She fought a long and courageous battle with brain cancer. Krista has had an impact on more people than many had in their whole lifetime. Krista had nearly two decades of practical experience in quality assurance, regulatory affairs, and executive management in the medical device industry, and had developed and implemented
successful regulatory and quality systems strategies for both large and small manufacturers.  Her signature "business-friendly" approach blended the perspective of the RA/QA professional with the
perspective of the company president, having worn both hats in her career.  Krista was the owner and principal of Amica Solutions, helping companies find "Amica-ble" strategies for meeting FDA and international compliance needs.  Prior positions included Director of RA/QA for Quest Medical, Vice President of RA/QA for Epic Medical, President of Epic Medical, and Vice President, Medical
Devices Division for Shotwell and Carr.  As an active participant in the medical device industry, Krista was a speaker at local and national industry meetings, she was published in RAPS' Focus and other industry magazines, and she served as a member and former industry co-chair of the Dallas FDA/Medical Device Industry Coalition.
