Dr. Steffini Stalos
strives to live by the adage that a
physician is 'available, affable, and able', where her compassion
combines with education and experience to provide the best
in patient care.
She was born and raised in
Dallas, Texas. She is a graduate of Tulane University where
she received a B.S. degree in Biology. She earned
her M.S. in Cellular and Molecular Biology from the University of
Texas-Dallas in 1996 and then completed her A.B.D. in Molecular
Pharmacology at the University of North Texas Health Science Center
in 1999.
In 2004, Dr. Stalos received
her D.O., from the University of North Texas Health Science Center
in Fort Worth, Texas. She was involved in medical mission work
during her medical school training.
Having transferred from UT
Southwestern, she completed her residency in CP Pathology and her
Transfusion Medicine Fellowship under Dr. McCullough at the
University of Minnesota.
In 2008, Dr. Stalos was
recruited as Assistant Medical Director of the Rhode Island Blood
Center where she served until late 2009 before returning to her
home state of Texas and establishing the Blood Associates Group on
LinkedIn. Through this forum, she facilitates and manages this
professional network fostering online mentoring, research
collaboration, blood product advocacy, clinical guidance, and
economic leveraging ideas. Continuing on in community involvement,
she participates in rapid response teams.
Dr. Stalos endeavors to make
the most of her free time as an avid chef and amateur golfer.
