Sukanya Ambavaram, MD, MPH

Occupational Medicine Physician - Independent

Sukanya Ambavaram, MD, a board certified physician in occupational medicine graduated from Meharry Medical College, Nashville, TN and  received her Master's in Public Health from University of North Texas Health Science Center, Fort Worth, TX.

She served as chief resident during her residency and was a member of residency advisory committee. She recently joined US Army Reserve as a Captain.

She has presented papers at Tennessee College of occupational and environmental conference (TCOEM), Nashville, TN, CDC, Atlanta, GA. and poster presentation at American College of Occupational and Environmental Medicine, New Orleans, LA.

Her interests are broad and varied and include prevention of musculoskeletol injuries and bed sores in paralyzed and geriatric population. Her overall vision is to develop state-of-the-art ways to care for the patients during their treatment and develop programs that will improve patient care.
