Starting and growing a company requires having a solid strategy and the capital to implement it. The financial model is where strategy and implementation meet, helping the entrepreneur and advisors determine cash needs. The model is also an important gauge investors use to evaluate a management team. Venture capitalists look for an understanding of business realities; anything else can crush your chances of obtaining funding. The presentation is not about using Excel; it provides readily usable ideas to make your financial model a better tool for raising money and operating your enterprise.
