FRISCO, TX - The North Texas Enterprise
Center (NTEC) for Technology, a leading regional non-profit
organization dedicated to assisting medical technology start-up
companies, announced the Top 10 Presenting Companies for the
MEDVENTURES 2011 event to be held October 6, 2011.
MEDVENTURES 2011 is an annual, regional, early-stage investment
and education conference focusing on the rapidly growing medical
technology sector. The program includes Angel Investor / Venture
Capital panel discussions, healthcare policy updates and
presentations by some of the top emerging medical technology
companies in the region.
"NTEC received a record 70 applications and our 30 volunteer
reviewers from our scientific and business advisory boards selected
the Top 10 companies to present," said Dr. Hubert Zajicek, Managing
Director - Medical Technology. "We had a strong showing from
healthcare software
firms and have three represented among the Top 10 presenters. Last
year's Top 10 raised over $15 million dollars, following this
conference," he added.
