The importance of software in medical technology has been consistently growing over the last decade.  This includes medical software apps on mobile devices.  No matter what platform software runs on, if it has a medical purpose, the software and/or the device may be subject to the medical directives in the EU and require a CE Mark.  This program will help demystify whether software needs to comply with the medical directives, and if so, how to classify it and what standards and guidance documents should be considered to attain approval in the EU and US.
