OxySure Inks 5-Year Partnership With the City of Frisco
FRISCO, Texas, Oct. 17, 2011
/PRNewswire/ -- OxySure Systems, Inc., a pioneering manufacturer of
safe, easy-to-use emergency oxygen devices utilizing powder
technology, today announced that the Company has entered into a
five-year partnership agreement with the City of Frisco,
Texas, to deliver its life-saving emergency oxygen products
and accessories ("OxySure Products") at multiple
Frisco municipal and community service facilities.
The Company has already begun deploying the OxySure Products,
accompanied with automated external defibrillators ("AEDs"), in
various Frisco municipal and community service
facilities. The OxySure Products and AEDs will be integrated as
part of Frisco's SAFER Pre-Incident Planning process,
which will allow 911 dispatchers to route callers to the
location(s) where these lifesaving devices are installed, if
appropriate. The initiative also allows 911 dispatchers to instruct
callers on how to deploy these life-saving products, prior to the
arrival on the scene of first responders.
Ron Patterson, Assistant City Manager, stated:
"The deployment of the OxySure emergency oxygen units in
conjunction with automated external defibrillators within our
public facilities is a logical next step to providing the best
possible emergency service capabilities to our citizens.
Integrating the location of the units into the SAFER system will
provide critical time savings when our dispatch is contacted. The
value of this type of equipment was recently proven by the heroic
efforts of two FISD teachers using this type of equipment to save a
young girl while at school."
OxySure's award-winning products are being used in a growing
number of homes, schools, businesses, churches, corporate and
government buildings across the country and abroad, in five
different countries.
Model 615 and other OxySure Products have helped save more than
178 lives in the past 24 months alone, according to company data.
"We couldn't be more excited about our partnership with the
City of Frisco," says Julian Ross, CEO of
OxySure. "We are especially excited about being integrated
into the SAFER plan, which creates a whole new level of emergency
preparedness in the city that is stronger and
forward-looking."
OxySure Model 615 is frequently installed in conjunction with an
AED. Model 615 is a revolutionary portable emergency oxygen
delivery system, which is approved by the Food & Drug
Administration for over-the-counter sale. It is safe and easy to
operate, ideal for use by any layperson during those first,
critical minutes of medical emergencies while waiting for first
responders to arrive. It requires no battery or power source.
Instead, it uses two dry, inert powders to create medically pure
oxygen quickly and reliably.
The partnership with the City of Frisco will
include the installation of OxySure Products, along with Physio
Control LifePak AEDs, with display wall boxes and signage. Public
facilities where OxySure Products will be installed include
municipal and public access venues including the City Hall-Library
Complex, Municipal Courts, Senior Center, Athletic Center, Police
Station, Public Works building, FieldHouse USA, Dr.
Pepper Arena, the Heritage Center, Parks & Recreation building,
Fleet Services facility, Convention Center and Visitors Bureau, the
Environmental Services building, the Sci-Tech Discovery Center,
Pizza Hut Park, and the Economic Development Corporation premises.
Installations will be strategically staggered over the upcoming
five years to be fully integrated into the Frisco
community.
Jim Gandy, President of the Frisco Economic
Development Corporation said: "This is a great instance of the
partnerships in the City of Frisco and the commitment
the FEDC has to our businesses. OxySure was an early graduate of
NTEC, and continues to grow and show the strength of our
entrepreneurs and our community's continued support in helping to
make them successful."
