President – Electro Medical Systems Corporation
As President of US operations for the Swiss-based ultrasonic medical and dental device company, Electro Medical Systems, Dr. Kathy Hamilton turned the company around, cutting losses by 82 and 58 percent respectively during her first two years of leadership. At the same time, she increased revenue by 50 percent and in 2002, led the company to US profitability for the first time in its history, where it has remained.
Electro Medical Systems initially hired Dr. Hamilton to lead commercialization of new products and was quickly promoted to Vice-President of its software division. She has solidified relationships with key distributors, effectively managed the sales force and streamlined service and operations. She led oversight of university bench-top validation studies and clinical trials and is published in refereed professional journals. Prior to Electro Medical Systems, Dr. Hamilton owned a dental practice, where she gained an expert understanding of clinical practice. Earlier in her career, she developed a children’s dental health program in Pennsylvania and created a PBS program on nutrition and preventive dentistry.
She holds a DDS from Baylor College of Dentistry in Dallas and an MBA, with an emphasis in finance and accounting, from the University of Texas at Dallas.
